KUKUP

Hello! Yes, it's Monday today and I have no school because it's suppose to be a holiday for us in-lieu of Deepavali! Anyway, Happy Deepavali to all my Indian friends!

As I've mentioned in the previous post, I went for a short getaway trip to Kukup over the weekends. My cousin's godparents organised it and they invited us (just like the other time), but this time a lot of people came along! They had to arranged another minibus for my family because we had 13 people and the bus can't fit anymore. Woke up super early in the morning to get ready and head out for breakfast at the coffeeshop. And yup, the typical toast bread with kaya and butter, half-boiled eggs and ice milo. It's been a long time since I last ate those, the thing is that it will make you super full and it's super yummy at the same time (it's affordable too hehehe). But the good thing about having them at coffeeshops is that they put your eggs in boiling water in a big cup, you can take them out after any time you want depending on how cooked you want your eggs to be. But obviously, 3 minutes is always recommended, as it gives you two good looking half-boiled eggs.

Anyway, back to the main topic for today's post. Our minibus arrived and after loading all our bags and ourselves, we're off!

Of course, selca time.

We decided to go by the Woodlands checkpoint because the bus driver don't have to pay more and of course a traffic jam is unavoidable because it's Saturday and Deepavali-eve. Thank God, we're in a bus the traffic flow is not that bad.

Just when I thought this would be a perfect trip, we had to bump into some fucktards at the Malaysia custom. I'm gonna rant here so if you don't feel like reading then go ahead to the next part. It was super pack (probably my first time seeing it so packed with people), the queues were extremely long. Behind us was a family of three, a mother, father and a young daughter. When it was about our turn, an elderly man holding onto a walking stick walked up to another elderly woman who was in front of us and asked if he could cut in because his legs were hurting. My aunt said he can queue in front of us. I was standing at the back of the rest of my family and that woman behind me said 'Wah, old uncle also want to potong jalan uh?'. That second I heard her said this, I was already boiling and wanted to turn back and confront her but I didn't. Instead of just shutting her bloody mouth, she went to my aunt and asked why the old uncle can cut queue. I don't know if she's blind or just brainless. Like hello, the uncle was holding onto a walking stick bitch, obviously he's got some difficulties walking or a leg problem. My cousin told her that the old uncle said that his leg is painful of course people with heart will let them cut la! But instead of giving a positive remark and go back, she said 'Then leg pain also can go JB holiday and shopping uh?'. At this point, I really cannot take it and shut her off by saying back, 'If you have some leg problem or leg pain, we will also let you stand in front of us.'. Of course her precious husband will say something, he said, 'What's the problem going on here?', then the wife go back and complain to him like as if she's right and continue to talk bad about the old uncle. Still say that she's just trying to start a conversation. Bitch, ain't nobody start a conversation with someone who just helped another person by saying a sarcastic and rude remark of the other person. The worst part is the husband is also some fucktards and still called me a bloody bitch and that I'm rude. He better be glad I never turn back and scream at him with all the vulgarities I ever know. At least I don't talk bad behind an elderly man's back just because he needed help. Their young daughter was there too and by scolding me a bloody bitch in front of her, what are you showing and teaching her? Anyway, from this incident, I can say that this bitch is just plain stupid, brainless and heartless. Like seriously, no joke. Can't believe that this type of humans even exist.

Anyway, after I got over this incident I went to sleep hahaha. It's about an hour plus journey to Kukup only, really fast! When we reached, we were all super surprised at the amount of people there. The last time we came, we were like the only ones there. The small two lane road was packed with cars, motorcycles and minibuses. The restaurant we had our lunch at was full-house! Everybody was so hungry that the moment a dish came, it was gone very quickly. After lunch they gave us some free time to walk around because the boat was not here yet. Really love the boat ride, or I can say, I love riding on a boat. They dropped us at a fish farm which was floating on the sea! I was really scared because in between each wooden planks, there will always be a gap big enough for you to trip over and drop into the sea. And since young, I was already not a fan of going into water and going near ponds with fishes in them because I always think that they might jump out of the water anytime. But still, this was a very good experience for me!

Boyfriend's selca time.

After touring the fish farm, our boat came to fetch us to the chalet house. It's the same one as the previous one because they contacted the same person. But this time, our room is bigger because we have more people, we have two queen sized bunk beds, a single bunk bed and a mattress. Oh did I say that each room have their own toilet? Yes, it's not very big but still better than one whole chalet only have like 3 toilets and everybody have to share and wait for one another just to bathe. Boyfriend and I spent the whole afternoon sleeping in so that we can stay awake at night to sing and gamble. Woke up in the evening and went out for some sea air and watched my family play mahjong. Time really pass by super fast when we're there. Had bbq for dinner and you don't even have to prepare all the food by yourself. They will bbq and cook everything for you. Because there were a lot of chalets being rented out on that day, a lot of people bought fireworks to play with and the whole night sky was lighted up with Kongming Lantern. We bought our own fireworks and Kongming Lantern too!

Tried so hard to take a good photo of the fireworks but failed because they were gone so quickly.

Getting the Kongming Lantern to fly was a bit difficult, you have to make sure that there's enough hot air in it. My aunt's family one couldn't fly up and dropped into the sea because we never wait till it's puffy enough. So they wrote on mine, and it was filled with Chinese words all written by Eve jiejie, my cousin-in-law. We spent the whole night playing mahjong and singing karaoke till about 3am. Only had about 6 hours of sleep, bathe and went to sing karaoke first thing in the morning with my family. Packed all our stuffs, took the boat back and had a really good and yummy lunch before we head back. Everybody took advantage of the 1 hour plus journey to nap, even the children! Felt really good when I came back, like I'm not that stress anymore.

Going back to Singapore!

I would strongly recommend you guys to go to this place! Great for a short getaway trip and it's so near to Singapore!

Okay, it's super late right now and I have school tomorrow. Goodnight and bye xx
