Last day as Sergeant Major (Band C)

Hello lovely cheesies! (:

Last Saturday was such an emotional day. 12th NCC Affirmation and also the Sec4s' last performance with the band as Band D. The performance ended and as usual they had this little short 'fireworks' session. The last one was always the loudest and everybody just jumped. Hahaha damn funny, was laughing at them with Marcus cos we didn't jumped. Ended off with Bandstand, our last piece that we're gonna play. Sec4s BLG was invited to go to the VIP reception. Went into the room, and woah, it looks super grand! And there he is, Mr Lawrence Wong. We went over to have a chat with him, and he plays the guitar. Took a group photo with him, our first proper photo that we took. Cos every time when we wanted to take photos, the security would reject us and tell us that the guest-of-honor is tired already. Finally, we took one proper one without having to rush or anything. A good conversation with him and he's super nice! (: Anyway, VIP reception = buffet. The food were super duper ultra delicious! The chocolate eclair and the Shepherd's pie (simply mouth-watery). Spent about an hour in there chatting and spending the last moment with the rest of the Sec4s BLG. For awhile, it became quite emotional and Kenneth came over and told us his joke'. Mary had a little lamb, and the doctor fainted. I'll miss working with the BLG, went through so much with them, standing by each other all the time. Thank you so much!
Was otw back to the holding room so that we can all go back to school and Kenneth, Saiful and Amirul all looked damn anxious. They came to us and said 'the band has left. See, this is what you all have contributed in.' All of us were damn shocked i ran over to the holding room, opened the door and really no one was inside. Everybody thought it was gonna be a surprise, but its not...... Called our juniors and asked where they are. They went up the bus and gonna leave soon. We all decided to walk to the bus like a boss cos they didn't walkie (the band's own word for communicating through the walkie talky) to us anything. Had our own Sec4s bus with a few people missing, MrChew came to our bus too and he gave us a long talk. The bus drove past marina floating platform, NDP 2011 was held there, turned all emotional and cried. My last NDP last year.......... That was the time when our batch first took over and there were a lot of screw ups, but we managed to pull through. Reached school, gave a short speech to the Band A. And finally my own Band C. I'll really miss them, and seeing them all grow up is really a happy thing. When I first took them, i swear their discipline was like asdfghjkl. As the year past, I saw them grow up and become leaders and responsible people. They know what they are doing although sometimes they're still like some small kid. They thought me lots of things, for example, perseverance. I remember the period of time when I did everything I could to get Jonathan back. He always promised that he'll come, but in the end he didn't. Disappointed, yes of course, but I didn't give up and still continue to ask him to come. He finally came, was so damn happy to see him. I never liked anybody to leave the band, especially the batch that I'm taking. So glad that Darren and Vanessa are back with the band too! Yes, they made the effort to come and I really appreciated that. I still remembered some of us went to Vanessa's house to look for her. But she's not at home, that point of time, I really gave up. I think I probably got sick and tired of asking people to come for band when they don't wanna come. But look, she came back and she performed for Affirmation, same as Jonathan. Really thankful that I met such a great bunch of people. I'll never forget them.

Thank SwissWinds for all these years of memories. The people from other CCAs were wondering why everytime the band seniors step down, everybody would be so emotional. Of course, we all went through a lot of things together, happy times and sad times. And all these pulled us together and become one big family. And we all love each other, a lot! (:
